Note from the Ski Club Moderator

I hope you are all excited and ready for this coming trip, it’s going to be fun!

Keeping this in mind, we all must act responsible and safe in order to have fun and prevent from making more restrictions on future trips. Please read the following bits of advice and expectations so we are all on the same page.

During the Trip:

When you are on this trip or any school related trip, you will be held accountable to the school rules, that is, any rules that apply during school (with some exceptions) will apply to you on this trip. You all must cooperate with the curfew time (12AM) and make sure you have taken care of everything you need to before the curfew time arrives. Do NOT tell me you need “this or that” as the curfew time expires; take care of it ahead of time.

When you are in the Resort, there will be people staying in other rooms that do not belong to our school; therefore, it is important to be courteous of this fact. Do not slam doors, do not run around the village, do not be rowdy and do not bring any full size boom boxes, bring only MP3 players or any other type of walkman that requires the use of headphones. You may like the music but everyone else may not. Keep your room and bus reasonably neat and clean. We must keep the Resort and Tour Company happy so we can re-use both of them next year. Upon arrival at the Resort, we will hand out your keys so you can check in to the room. When you get to your room, check the room for damages or anything missing. If anything is missing or damaged, report it to me ASAP so you will not get charged for the existing damages. You should also check your room upon checkout and make sure everything is present that was there when you checked in (including towels). Do not make any phone calls from your room or order any movies, you will be charged and we will not be able to leave on Sunday, until you have paid these extra bills.

Absolutely NO SMOKING in the Resort rooms or bus.

Throughout the day, please be courteous of our meeting times so you do not keep 55 people waiting for you. Do not try and take a “last run” unless you have at least 30 minutes before the meeting time. If we say we are meeting at 4PM, then do not go for another run at 3:50 PM, you will not have enough time to meet-up.

If you are renting skis/snowboard, you are responsible for them and you will be required to pay for any lost equipment. If someone gets injured, you will be treated at the Resort’s first aid clinic and I will meet you there. If you need to go to a hospital, I will take you there. In either case, you must call one of your parents and inform them.
