1) The high priests and Pharisees want to kill Jesus because they were very
disappointed that he wasn't the Savior they expected. He also continually
challenged them and showed them to be hypocrites in front of the people.
They also felt he was a threat and was winning over the people to follow his
teachings.
2) Judas agrees to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
3) Jesus predicts that one of his Apostles will betray him.
4) The disciples get upset and all deny that they will betray him.
5) Jesus celebrates the first Mass and institutes the Sacrament of the
Eucharist.

washing of the feet where Matthew focuses on Jesus breaking the bread and

from me, meaning that he is asking God to make his suffering go away. It
shows that Jesus was scared.
13) Jesus now accepts his suffering and understands that he has to go through
with the experience in order to complete his mission.
14) Jesus is trying to tell Peter not to use violence and that usually people who
use violence as a means to solve problems will be negatively affected by it.
Violence only creates more violence and doesn't usually lead to peace.
15) Jesus says that all the time he was in Jerusalem nobody ever came to
arrest him and that he has not ever used violence or committed crimes so there
is no need to treat him as a dangerous criminal.
