Why do we ignore others? How does this bring us imbalance in life 2nd Station: Jesus Carries His Cross→ Jesus carries the burden for all of us. We need to channel Jesus’ strength to carry our own responsibility for our actions 3rd Station: Jesus Falls for the First Time→ No one stopped the pain and burden for Jesus, he had to continue on. What does that feel like for us when we must perserve? 4th Station: Jesus Meets His Mother→ when do we feel most alone? Even at times when we feel our own parents do not understand us. How does this make us feel incomplete? When have we hidden things from our parents out of fear→ this gives a distorted reality 5th Station: Simon helps Jesus carry His Cross→ being forced to help, or an opportunity to serve? Compassion or selfishness 6th Station: Veronica wipes the face of Jesus→ How do we see others? Do we see the image of God in their faces? 7th Station: Jesus falls the second time→ When have we failed to follow through on our promises? We need grace and integrity to make our promises a reality 8th Station: Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem→ When have we listened to God’s word in our life? The women recognized Jesus and weeping for the reality they are witnessing 9th Station: Jesus falls a third time→ When do we continue on when our body fails us? How does this unite our body, mind and spirit? Or do we allow our body to win over our spirit? How does this connect to sin? 10th Station: Jesus is stripped of his garments→ almost a relief, it is about to be over but the worst is still to come. When have we felt this in our life? Jesus is made to endure embarrassment. When have we judged people for the way they look? 11th Station: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross→ the physical pain Jesus endured. How have we been able to face pure physical pain? Mind over matter? 12th Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross: “It is finished” 13th Station: Jesus’ body is taken down off the cross→ his Mother weeps for her son. All hope seems to be lost. When have we felt like this? What helps us fix this imbalance? 14th Station: Jesus is laid in the tomb→ a borrowed grave. When have we felt that death is the end? The loss of a loved one. How can we change this thought of death as the end? Your own Passion and Way of the Cross What is the passion in your life? Give a depiction of your own way to get to your passion in life.
