MS/MBA Dual Degree
The MS-MBA degree combination is designed to equip graduates with a Master of
Business Administration degree built on a strong foundation in management and a fourcourse specialty in one of four concentration areas, while at the same time providing its
graduates with a Master of Science degree that is focused on a technical or skill area
concentration. This degree prepares graduates for managerial positions in specific
functional areas of organizations.
The added value in taking these two degrees in combination is that a number of courses
from your MBA program can also be used to meet the MS requirements. The MS-MBA
degree is currently offered in Accounting, Information Assurance and Information
Technology.
This is a 56 credit hour program. The Graduate School of Management requires that each
student acquire the proper foundational business and management knowledge necessary
to benefit most from the MBA curriculum. Students who have not satisfied the necessary
foundation knowledge may be required to complete up to 12 credits of additional course
work in a satisfactory manner.
