There will be two sets each day 800-915 and 930-1045.
Come watch and support our students at our Track and Field events. We need
parent volunteers for both days. If you can help please let us know and PTO will
arrange to train you to support the events. It should be a lot of fun. Please make
sure your child wears shoes to run and jump in for their day. Students with
shoes that cannot be used for PE will not be allowed to participate in the events
for safety reasons.
Mesa Rotary Luncheon
Recently, 30 Edison
graders attended a Mentor Luncheon with members of
the Mesa Rotary. This is a nice lunch sponsored for us and our students learned
about the role of service in the community. Edison students dressed up to attend
the lunch at the Mesa Hilton. They represented Edison very well and we got a lot
of compliments of how great our students were at the event.
Students wrote poems about the family and future entitled… “I am an Eagle”.
Mrs. Wilkins-Johnson and Mr. Macdonald took the students to the event and
were impressed at how well our students represented Edison. We met a man
that had attended Edison in the first year it opened in 1957. He still serves his
community as part of the Rotary Club members. Go Eagles.
