Further details are available at Application for Travel Support www.h2020ireland.com Aim The aim of the Travel Support is to facilitate participation in the Horizon 2020 Programme. Eligibility Applications can be made by researchers in higher education or publicly funded institutions. The scheme covers all fields eligible for funding in Horizon 2020. Eligible costs include least-cost travel expenses and subsistence rates as per institutional guidelines. Visits can be up to three days duration and need to be justified beyond that. Multiple visits can be applied for on the one application but they need to be itemised. Funding covers visits by Irish researchers abroad to meet potential partners or attendance at EU information days/workshops relating to Horizon 2020. Travel support can be used to attend e.g. European Technology Platform, European Innovation Partnership or other strategic meetings (in consultation with the National Contact Point or National Delegate only). When a researcher exceeds €3,000 for all visits, they need to provide EU reference numbers for Horizon 2020 proposals that they have been included in. Applicants should note that 1) overheads, 2) sabbaticals, 3) conferences fees and 4) course work fees are not covered by this programme.
