Monday, April 4
Students in grades 3-6 are currently completing AZ Merit Testing,

is mandatory for all students and must be completed by May 6, 2016.
Here are some tips to help your child test their best!

Come to school every day, on time. Once the test has begun,
the class cannot be interrupted. Students will have to make
up any missed portions of the test, whether tardy or absent.
Schedule appointments later in the day, after school. If you
arrive to check your student out early, you may have to wait
until the testing block is completed for your child to be
called out of class. Call the office ahead of time to check
their testing schedule if you must make appointments during
school hours, and try to avoid scheduling appointments
when your child’s class is testing.
Encourage your child to do their best, and make sure they
go to bed early and get plenty of rest at home.

Will you be moving over the summer?
As we prepare for next year, it is important for us to know which students
plan to return to Salk for the 2016-2017 school year. Please contact the office
at 480-472-8499 to let us know if you do not plan on returning next year and
we will prepare your student’s file to be transferred to their new school this
summer.
