ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A student who is enrolled in Mira Costa Community College or a transferring or returning junior
or senior student enrolled at California State University San Marcos
Must be a citizen of the United States and resident of San Diego County
Must have completed a minimum of 12 college units
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Financial need will be considered




APPLICATION PROCESS
Submit a completed AAUW-COV scholarship application
Submit most recent unofficial college transcript(s)
Submit a one-two page autobiographical essay
Submit two academic letters of recommendation to scholarship chairperson


SELECTION PROCESS
Applications will be considered and a winner selected by the AAUW COV Scholarship Committee by
July 1, 2015. The winner will be notified in writing soon after that date.
AWARD PRESENTATION
The Scholarship Award will be presented to the recipient at the September 19th meeting of the
AAUW COV branch. The scholarship check will be sent to the student’s college of choice.
