Classified Staff must be current with the payment of their classified dues. Must include proof of enrollment or intent to enroll in an education program; i.e. course description, class schedule, etc. Personal statement required (see details below). First priority will be given to permanent classified staff, followed by dependents. Applicants may reapply each year. Late submissions cannot be accepted. Application and attachments can be emailed, mailed, or dropped off at the Scholarship Office. The MiraCosta Awards & Scholarships Committee will review submissions based on a blind application process; Classified staff will not be included in the selection process. Selection will be based on meeting the eligibility criteria, proof of enrollment or intent to enroll in an education program, and the personal statement. In December, the award recipient will be notified by email followed by an award letter o Non-awardees will be notified by email Financial Aid recipients may have their financial aid award reduced to accommodate scholarship dollars, contact the Financial Aid Office for additional information. Proof of enrollment in the stated education program will be required before the award check is disbursed. Scholarship winner will be recognized at an appropriate college event.
