Biology The following courses are the strongly recommended ones to complete the Biology prerequisites for Physical Therapy application and will best prepare the applicant for graduate education in Physical Therapy: Biology 332, 333, 334 – Anatomy and Physiology Biology 232, 233, 234 – Anatomy and Physiology will also be accepted to fulfill the lower division anatomy and physiology requirement. One upper division Biology class of student’s choice as described in the Physical Therapy Prerequisite Information Sheet For instance: Biology 304 – Vertebrate Zoology (prerequisite or co-requisite for Biology 332, 333, 334) OR Biology 477 – Developmental Biology OR Biology 301 – Microbiology One upper Division Physiology Class Biology 490 OR EXSC 460 – Physiology of Exercise Chemistry Chemistry 151, 152, 153 with labs – General Chemistry The Chemistry 160 series IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO FULFILL OUR PREREQUISITES. Physics Physics 131, 132, 133 – Introductory Physics (non-calculus based) with labs: Physics 161, 162, 163 OR Physics 151, 152, 153 – General Physics (calculus-based) with labs: Physics 161, 162, 163 Behavioral Science Any two courses in behavioral science including psychology, sociology and anthropology.
