
First of all write the problem like this

Make a list of the multiples of 10 on the
side.
Then add brackets and your
divisor
10 [5]= 50
20 [5]= 100
30 [5]= 150
40 [5]= 200
50 [5]= 250
Then figure out the
multiples.

Determine what’s the biggest
one that is equal or less that
what you are dividing into…

20 [5]= 100

Draw a line down the side of your problem
Subtract the number you picked from your
problem
