This is a four-year full-time degree course, offered on the Hobart campus only, which may also be studied part time. Students have a maximum of ten years to complete the degree.

To qualify for the combined degree, students must complete 400% from units in Groups 1,
2 and 3 of the BA and BFA schedules.
In the Bachelor of Arts component, students must meet the following requirements:
• 50% from level 100 Group 1 units from the BA schedule;
• 50% from level 200 Group 2 units from the BA schedule;
• 50% from level 300 Group 3 units from the BA schedule;
• 50% from level 200/300 Group 2/3 units from the BA schedule;
• within this 200% of units, students must complete the requirements for a major in one discipline totalling a minimum of 100%. A major is normally made up of 25% of level 100 units plus 75% of level 200/300 units.
In the BFA component, students complete either a studio major and a minor in Art and
Design Theory in the BFA or a major in Art History and Cultural Theory along with studio-based and elective units to make up the remaining percentage.
Units studied outside the BA and BFA schedules will not count towards the combined degree.
