Motion from Sen. Reich to approve the minutes from February 4. Second. No objections. Moved.

Approval of Agenda
Motion from Sen. Reich to add CR-13S-2680 to the agenda. Second. No objections. Moved.
Motion from Sen. Stevens to add Sen. Dotti to absentee points appointment. Second. No objections.
Moved.
Motion from Sen. Varshovi to approve the agenda as amended. Second. No objections. Moved.

Remarks of the Chair- sgacsc@unf.edu
Make sure you grabbed an agenda packet and a CR. If you look on the back of the packet, there are
the title assignments. I tried to get everyone one of his or her top three choices. If you have a serious
issue with your title or have questions let me know. It is supposed to be a short presentation. Three
senators will present each meeting. And then there will be three of us presenting the constitution.

SB-13S-2672: Title I Revision: Senator Cunningham
Sen. Cunningham couldn’t make it so Pres. Varshovi will be filling in her place. Pres.
Varshovi- this SB outlines the titles. It also removes the business days from this title because
it is not in an appropriate spot.
Questions?
Sen. Galanti- did you put the business days anywhere else in the title?
No, it is in title 6 and 8 where it is more pertinent.
Motion from Sen. Stevens to approve SB-13S-2672. Second. No objections. No discussion.
Roll call vote.
Passes 9-0-0.
Sen. Dotti: Absentee Points
Sen. Dotti- I missed a committee meeting because of a club meeting that I am the chair of.
That meeting had to be at that time however I let Jerry know prior. I missed senate because I
was in New Orleans until a Wednesday.


Sen. Stevens- the dates are 2/04, a committee meeting, and 2/11, a senate meeting. You can
still appeal the senate points. The committee was unexcused. You have until Thursday to
appeal.

Sen. Reich- why were you in New Orleans?
My mom’s family is there, went to visit.
Sen. Stevens- how many points to take off? The committee has the choice to take off so you
can say what you prefer.
I prefer the committee meeting points appealed.
Motion from Sen. Reich to reduce the absentee points by 3. Second. No objections.
Discussion: Sen. Szerba- she had good reasoning and she knew she would be missing
meetings and let everyone know before.
Roll call vote.
Passes 7-1-1.
CR-13S-2680
Sen. Barrs- Sen. Pino couldn’t be here so Sen. Reich is presenting this. It was not placed on
first read. The plan is to place it first read next week but for the purpose of time it is being
presenting tonight and voted on. Any amendments, if any, would then be forwarded to the
presenter.
Sen. Reich- this CR allows transfer students to run in elections. This also makes the language
more open instead of assuming conflict.
Motion from Sen. Stevens to approve CR-13S-2680. Second. No objections. Discussion: Sen.
Stevens- I completely agree. This opens up for more students to become senators. Sen. Barrsto clarify this refers to the process leading up to prior, instead of after with officers.
Roll call vote.
Passes 9-0-0.
