Chair Report
a. Welcome Back! Hope y’all had great break and did good on finals!
b. Orientations
i. Orientations for incoming students start May 24th which is a Thursday.
ii. We will be tabling in the SU for that. I believe they start at 9:30-10 ish and
we’ll table until 1pm. I will send out sign-ups for that once I get all the
dates finalized. They are every Thursday until Summer B begins.
c. Lighthouse
i. I had some suggestions last meeting for the name change which were
“Osprey Voice” and “The Student’s Voice” I would like to have more ideas
and suggestions for the name change.
ii. Also Thank you for those that did lighthouse last month and Thank you for
helping with Finals Frenzy that went very well!

New Business
a. The Senatorial Involvement Act SB-12SA-2597
i. This is the bill that I briefly talked about in our last meeting. The purpose
of this is to have this committee be more involved and participate more in
the Executive Agencies and around campus.
ii. We do need to vote on this bill and it needs a 2/3 vote to pass.
iii. SB-12SA-2597: The Senatorial Involvement Act passes or doesn’t pass.
Announcements
a. Next Regularly scheduled Senate meeting will be on May 21st at 6:30pm.
b. The university will be closed on May 28th (Memorial Day)

c. Next Regularly scheduled Committee Meeting will be June 4th at 3:30pm in the
conference room.
