Attendance, Tardies and Make-Up Work (Accountability, Reliability, Responsibility)
 You are expected to be in class and prepared to learn every day. If you miss class it is your responsibility
to obtain the class notes and assignments missed that day; check your folder.
 You will have two days (excused) or 1 day (unexcused) for each day absent to make up missed work. If
the work missed is not completed within that time it will result in a zero.
 If you are not absent and missing work, you may turn it before the end of the unit with a 10% penalty.
 You must be on time! A pass is required in order to be excused.
 Tardy Policy: See your student handbook!! * If you are late, expect to lose homework/math mate
credit for that day, along with time for time.*
Hall Passes
1. You must have your id in order to leave the classroom. The hall pass must be taken whenever you
leave the classroom

Homework
There will be homework every night; Check Your Understandings (CYU’s) are due the next day, On Your
Own’s (OYO’s) you have 2 days. I will provide feedback on homework, which may be revised. All
revisions must be done in a different color and boxed on the same assignment to receive credit.

Assessments
 Lesson Quizzes will be given a few times each unit, after the end of the lesson. Toolkits may be used on
some but not all quizzes.
 Tests and Benchmark assessment will be given at the end of each unit, which is comprehensive of the
unit. Only on certain units will toolkits be allowed or partially given.
Assessment Corrections/Retakes
 To take advantage of the corrections/retakes, you must have all assignments in the other category for
that unit. Corrections only last for a maximum of 1 week.
 Corrections/retakes are only given if you did not pass (Score < 70%). This involves correcting your
current assessment and then retaking the other form of the missed question(s). The assessment can only
be corrected to a maximum of 70%.
*Any copying or cheating will result in a zero for all parties involved.*
Grading
**In order to receive points on any homework, investigation notes, classwork assignment, quiz, assessment
or semester exam you MUST show ALL of the required work. No work, no credit!**
Semester Grade:
Assessments – 85% Other (class work, notes, homework, worksheets, etc) - 15%
Grades are based on the 10% scale in the student handbook. Check Parent Bridge as it is updated
frequently. You must have a 70% or better at the end of Math 3B to move on to the next class. *I reserve
the right to change any grading procedures that I feel are necessary.*
Being Successful in Math 3:
 Students are expected to attend class, participate, and bring all class materials to each class meeting.
 Completing homework or assignments on time.
 Students are encouraged to seek help from classmates and the instructor. It might be helpful to set
up scheduled study groups to help each other out and to stay on top of the work. If help is needed
on a regular basis, please see a counselor for a tutor.
