Key Accomplishments to Date (or Since Last Report): Securing student interest and enrollment. III. Key Challenges to Date: 1.) So, what am I actually going to do? 2.) The other major challenge will be securing approvals for any students to travel to Mozambique if that becomes a possibility. The International Program office timeline is quite lengthy for securing approvals to travel but I am hoping that if there are some students who are interested in going to Mozambique that the office will work with me to make that possible. IV. How were these Challenge(s) addressed: 1.) The more I talk to people about the project, the more it helps me to identify what is worth doing. 2.) I attended an International Programs office training session on study abroad programs. V. Expenditures to Date: None VI. Project Assessment: IC2 projects would be well served to be collaborative projects between faculty. While I am interested in tackling a big unknown, i.e., working with students to learn about an undeveloped out of the limelight country and to develop projects to offer assistance to a peace 2 (IC) Periodic Update Report Page 2 of 4 corps project in that country, the spirit of IC2 is lost when it is a solo effort. On the other hand, the students who enrolled in this seminar are very interested.
