Budget Outline: Please submit to the committee as detailed an account of a budget for this
project as is currently possible. The budget outline should include projected costs for travel,
meals and lodging, equipment and supplies, etc., as well as potential funding sources.

By signing below, you agree to the following:
1. This summer program will compliment your educational studies.
2. You will provide original receipts adding up to the original amount of your grant.
a. You must provide an excel sheet with all of your expenses equaling the total
amount of your grant
b. You must convert foreign currency to US dollars, if applicable. If you need
assistance, please contact Terry Romero.
c. PLEASE NOTE: You must spend all of the funds given, provide an
accounting, and turn in original receipts for those expenses. We
will place a hold on your Student Account if:
i. You do not return any unspent Human Rights funds to us by October
1.
ii. You do not provide original receipts and an accounting of how you
spent the Human Rights funds by October 1.
3. You will participate in a Human Rights Summer Symposium discussing your summer
internship/project in fall.
a. The symposium consists of a 15-minute presentation on: the organization
you worked with, their mayor projects, and the projects you were involved
with. You may include photographs, video, or anything that is important.
Finally, you must explain how this experience impacted your understanding of
human rights.
b. PLEASE NOTE: If you will be studying abroad, you must participate in the
Human Rights Symposium in the fall of the following year. Please let us
know ahead of time if you will be traveling abroad.
4. You will provide a story for the Human Rights newsletter.
