54th ANNUAL CUBA LIVESTOCK SHOW

CUBA, ILLINOIS ---------------------------------FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 2011
A one day show only - located 1 mile south of Cuba at the Putman Township Park; Judging starts at 9:00
a.m. with Sheep (market lambs 1st), hogs at 10 a.m. (gilts 1st), beef will start at 12:30 p.m. Held in
conjunction with Cuba Soldiers and Sailors Reunion and supervised by the Cuba Agricultural Advisory
Council and FFA Alumni, they will not be responsible for any accidents. In Case of Extreme RAIN Show will be held at the Fulton County Fairgrounds (listen to radio and check emails) - Same Day - Same
Schedule
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. This show is open to any Fulton County 4-H or FFA dues paying member. No entry fee.
2. Steers, Commercial Heifers, Market lambs, Barrows will be weighed on the grounds before showing.
3. Sheep/Swine must be in place by 7 a.m., and Cattle/Horse in place by 9:00am. The decision of judges
will be final. All entries will remain until 5 p.m. or until released. All exhibits must be property of the
exhibitor from the beginning of the project year.
4. Health Regulations. Heifers/Sheep = Certificate, Steers = no papers, Swine = Neg. Pseudo rabies
5. Pens, stalls and SAWDUST will be provided. No straw should be brought in for sheep & swine.
6. All steers and heifers must have been dropped after January 1st, 2010. All steers will be mouthed and
any found with one set of permanent teeth will not be eligible. No horned cattle.
7. All swine must have been farrowed on or after JAN.15th, 2011. All breeds show together. Barrows and
Gilts cannot weigh over 220 lbs. An exception to the weight rule is if barrows have been officially
nominated for county or state rate of gain classes. These forms must be presented to officials when
weighing in.
8. All lambs/kids must be lambed/kidded after Jan. 1st, 2011. All breeds show together. All lambs/kids
will be checked for sore mouth and foot rot prior to unloading. All market lambs must be slick shorn.
9. All animals must be stalled in the space provided. Keep animals in building and designated area.
10. Bucket calf and Young pig shower class must show 2011 calf or pig, member must be younger than 8
before Sept.1, All winners, No placing given, children must lead & setup calf. Answer calf questions.
11. Purebred Swine and Steers papers must be presented at scales, if less than 5 animals, will be combined
with crossbred classes.
12. Showmanship classes will be for all species; Junior class under 13, Senior class13 and over.
13. Livestock Committee decisions are final

CLASS B – SHEEP: Exhibitor may not show more than Five (5) total head of sheep. Exhibitors may not
show a breeding ewe in market lamb class. LOT 1 - Ram Lamb; LOT 2 - Ewe Lamb; LOT 3 & 4 - Market
Lambs; LOT 5 - Pair of Market Lambs PREMIUM EACH LOT: $9, 8, 6, 5, 4, 1.
CLASS C – SWINE: Exhibitor may not show more than Four (4) total head of swine, with one being of
the opposite sex regardless of weight or lot number. LOT 1 Little Piggy Class, LOT 2 - Single Barrow#1;
LOT 3 - Single Barrow #2, LOT 4 Pair of Barrows, LOT 5 - X-bred Breeding Gilt; PREMIUM EACH
LOT: $10, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 1.
CLASS D - CATTLE Lots will be made by weight. Exhibitor may not show more than Four (4) total head
of beef, with one being of the opposite sex regardless of weight or lot number. LOT 1 - Bucket Calves;
LOT 2 - Steers; LOT 3 Purebred British Steers, LOT 4 - Commercial Heifers, LOT 5 -Purebred British
Breed Heifers. PREMIUMS EACH LOT: $12, 10, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 1.
CLASS E – MEAT GOATS Exhibitor may not show more than Five (5) total head of meat goats.
Exhibitors may not show a breeding nanny in market kid class. LOT 1 - Buck; LOT 2 – Nanny (1-5 yrs);
LOT 3 Doe class (under 1 yr) LOT 4 & 5 - Single kid; LOT 6 - Pair of Market Kids PREMIUM EACH
LOT: $9, 8, 6, 5, 4, 1.
CLASS F – MILK GOATS Exhibitor may not show more than Five (5) total head of Milk Goats.
Exhibitors may not show a breeding nanny in market kid class. LOT 1 - Buck; LOT 2 – Nanny (1-5 yrs);
LOT 3 Doe class (under 1 yr) LOT 4 & 5 - Single kid; LOT 6 - Pair of Market Kids PREMIUM EACH
