Senator Dave Koehler
Jim McConoughey
Senator Dave Koehler serves Peoria
and surrounding areas in the 46th District.
He is the Vice-Chairman of the local
governments committee and also serves
on the appropriations, transportation and
commerce and economic development
committees in Springfield.
Jim McConoughey is the Heartland
Partnership CEO. Heartland provides
strategic leadership, coordinates resources,
and brings to life initiatives focused on
developing, growing, and nurturing the
heartland economy.
Mary Haynes
2008 Community Development
Summit
Mary Haynes is serving her fifth term as
Peoria's first elected female City Clerk. She
has earned the Master Municipal Clerk
(MMC) designation and is also a
Registered and Certified Municipal Clerk.
She is a member of the City’s Speakers
Bureau and is a frequent presenter both in
and out of state.
Patrick Urich
Patrick Urich, the Peoria County
Administrator, is responsible for the day-today activities of the county, including the
$110 million budget and 27 departments.
Mr. Urich is currently the President-Elect of
the Illinois City/County Management
Association and the National Association of
County Administrators.
Representative David Leitch
73rd District Representative Leitch has
been in the House since 1989 and currently
serves on Committee of the Whole; Electric
Utility Oversight; Appropriations-Human
Services; Tourism & Conventions; Health &
Healthcare Disparities; Disability Services ;
and Housing and Urban Development
committees in Springfield.
Area municipalities, cities and
townships are always looking for ways to
more efficiently run and manage their
budgets.
In an effort to help these various
entities keep on top of ways to achieve
these goals, collaboration was identified as
a key component.
The Peoria County Extension office, in
response to a recent survey of township,
city and other municipal officials, has
created this first-time offering designed to
help answer some questions. .
Our hope is that this Community
Development Summit will become an
annual affair, with a variety of topics
designed to answer the needs presented
by area officials to the Peoria County
Extension office.
