Revisioning ESL Preparation for Teacher Candidates
The growing need to prepare classroom practitioners skilled in addressing the educational needs of
English language learners in public schools requires a multi-pronged approach in which the perceptions
of preservice teachers are paired with curriculum design and revision in Teacher Education. This study
shares how intern perceptions can inform the curriculum revision process to address the skill sets
needed by current teachers in contemporary classrooms.
