1) Attendance and Participation, 10%

is prepared with the day’s reading and says at least one substantive thing during each class
8-8.9 points. “B” range participation: completed Writing Questionnaire, comes to class on time,
has not missed more than the allotted 3 classes, is usually prepared with the day’s reading and
says at least one substantive thing per week
7-7.9 points. “C” range participation means you are suffering from one or more of the following:
did not complete the Writing Questionnaire, has missed more than the allotted 3 classes, has
been late to class more than once, is underprepared or not prepared for the day’s reading, does
not participate in class at least once a week.
6-6.9 points. “D” range participation offers when a student is suffering from more than a few of
the previously listed problems.
