F.A.O. S1 module
Dear S1 Geotechnical Engineering students:
For my part of the 15% coursework assignment for this module, I am setting an essay
assignment. Your are required to write an essay on one of the following topics please:
The drive towards sustainability in the ground-engineering construction sector.
OR
Environmental geotechnics
Include case history examples where appropriate. Length: approximately 1500 words,
typewritten.
Deadline for submission is 4pm, Friday 5th December 2014. Submit essays to my mailbox in
the Civil Engineering Departmental Office, Museum Building. No marks will be awarded for
reports submitted after this deadline, although the essay must be submitted in any event in
order to satisfy the coursework component of this module.
