Hello~
I have enclosed the documents needed from your Agency and/or Organizations to employ
students through the off-campus community service program offered here at Ithaca College. As
always, they can be found on our website at: www.ithaca.edu/hr/student employment (there is a
tab for community agencies you can open, complete, and email them back or mail whichever
way works best for you).
I hope to have a lot of openings in this program for the upcoming year. The placement request
form you complete is what I will be showing the new students I meet with this fall. The more
information and details you provide the better; complete as many of these as you wish.
*Maybe you have that project you haven’t had enough time to get to, why not make it
into a student job? Remember Ithaca College pays 100% of the student’s wages for the hours
they work for you so it’s like free work). Try creating experiential student jobs; jobs that will
give them tasks that they will learn from, gain knowledge and experience, allow them to interact
and learn as if they were part of your office team.
Once I have met with a new student, I will refer them to the agency/organization of their interest.
*The student will contact you directly, please interview them to see if they meet your
requirements and if a mutual agreement to begin employment occurs, then the student employee
will provide you with a hiring addendum to begin working after August 29, 2012.
