What is Yammer@ECU?
 Yammer is a portal for faculty/staff/students to
connect across ECU’s campus.
 With Yammer you can:



Create a profile for colleagues to view.
You can send/receive private messages and post messages on your
colleagues pages.
 Also share files through attachment
Join and create groups (i.e. discussion groups for your classes)
 Yammer is accessible via your web browser, desktop,
or mobile device.

Step 1: Create Your Account
 You can find Yammer@ECU on the ITCS page:
http://www.ecu.edu/cs-itcs/
 Your login is the same as your ECU login
 Once in Yammer, you will be walked through the steps of
creating your profile.*

If you have a Facebook account, you will see that Yammer looks very
similar and operates in a similar format.

Suggestion: Download Yammer to your Desktop so that it is easily
accessible. You will see this option in the “Getting Started” section on
your Yammer page.

1) Click on your name
in the RIGHT-HAND
CORNER of your
profile page.
2) Select EDIT
ACCOUNT.

installed Yammer to.
Note: Since our GA
created her Yammer
account via the web
portal, her Install
Date is listed and she
has the option to
Revoke Access versus
Install the application
on such portal.

NOTIFICATIONS
Here you can:
Change the settings to
how your receive your
Yammer noticfications.
Note: Unless you
change your digest
setting, you will receive
an email update of
message activity from
your colleagues on
Yammer.

Change the
preferences of how your
Yammer operates.
