Press Release Thierry FOUCAULT, Professor at HEC School of Management, wins the prize for the best young French Finance Researcher 29th June, 2005 Concerned with encouraging Research in Finance and prompting researchers to publish in the best academic journals, the Europlace Institute of Finance(IEF) has launched 3 prizes for financial research: the prize for the best young French researcher in finance, prize for the best finance article published by French Researchers in the best financial and/or economic journals, prize for the best article by French Researchers in the best quantitative financial journals. The prize board, an emanation of the Institute scientific council is made up of 20 professor-researchers stemming from the most prestigious universities and international schools. Thierry FOUCAULT, professor of Finance at HEC School of Management was awarded the prize for the best young French researcher (less than 40 years old) in finance on the 21st June 2005 by the scientific comity of the Europlace Institute of Finance. Ph.D. in Finance, Thierry Foucault is the Associate Dean for Research at HEC and an associate professor in the HEC Finance and Economics department since 1998 . He is also affiliated researcher at CEPR and a member of GREGHEC (CNRS). The Europlace Institute of Finance aims to make optimum use of existing or potential synergies between economic research and education in Europe and market professionals’ financial intermediaries, investors and asset managers, issuers and financial market corporations.
