Reports To: Parking Services and Records Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY
Assumes responsibility for assisting in the University of Hartford parking services and records maintenance efforts to
support the accurate and timely control of the computerized revenue systems. Performs all duties in full support of the
University’s mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental in the
education of the University’s students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains records and parking software applications that include revenue adjustments within
BANNER. Processes payments for permits, fines and fees in accordance with University
and departmental parking cash management policies and procedures. Assists in the
reconciliation of accounts in an effort to resolve billing issues for students, faculty, staff and
visitors. Handles sensitive information with confidentiality and tact. *
Issues parking permits to faculty, staff, students and other constituents as necessary and
appropriate. Ensures quality customer service at all times in an effort to meet the needs of a
diverse campus. Acts as a first point of contact for Public Safety, assisting both internal and
external constituencies with questions and concerns relating to University parking policies
and procedures. Fields incoming calls to the department, taking initiative to resolve routine
issues or forwarding calls to the appropriate personnel as necessary. *
Provides timely and accurate administrative support to department staff as necessary and
appropriate. Researches and assembles necessary background information to expedite
response. Types and edits internal and external correspondence from draft to final form. *

Assists in maintaining all Public Safety parking records, incident and accident reports in a
safe and secure manner in an effort to comply with state and federal guidelines.

Assists in efforts to establish, maintain and continually strive to improve departmental
procedures and computer systems to ensure effective office operations. Maintains office
files to ensure easy retrieval by other department staff. Opens, sort and distributes
departmental mail.
