With the addition of Xbox Kinect, the list of things one can do on Xbox Live is growing. OneFit is
an application that will utilize the Kinect technology to allow for personal and group based training over
the Xbox platform. Revenue from OneFit will come from a monthly subscription paid by the users.
Kinect is an Xbox technology that allows for motion capture to be used in games and
applications. OneFit will utilize this technology to capture our client’s movements during the workout,
and then use that information to make on the fly adjustments to their form. OneFit will include a myriad
of work outs ranging from restorative yoga to high energy kickboxing. During the group aspect of OneFit
the client will be able to create a group consisting of their Xbox live friends or various other people on
the network. OneFit will utilize both the Kinect technology and its ability to pick up audio. Clients will be
able to communicate with each other during workouts to offer support and congratulations. Clients will
also be able to track gains on OneFit and share their success with others in their group. This will create a
social environment within OneFit that will allow our product to stand out.
Revenue for OneFit will be generated by yearly, 6-month, and monthly subscriptions. There is
huge potential for success because of the large marketplace which consists of 48 million Xbox account
holders. Also with the release of the new Xbox 360, Kinect is included with purchase of the system.
Hiring personal trainers to help us develop the training interface is a cost that we would need to incur in
order to complete the development of OneFit. Ultimately a growing marketplace as well as an increased
social commitment to fitness both point to a bright future for OneFit.
