Science Siesta is a
very special pajama party for girls
completing grades 4-6. In order to
accommodate more girls we have expanded
Science Siesta and now have 2 dates for
this event.
Here’s the party information:
Discovery Center Children’s Museum &
Burpee Museum of Natural History
711 N. Main, Rockford IL
FRIDAY, APRIL 15 AT 5 P.M. UNTIL
SATURDAY, APRIL 16 AT 8:30 A.M.
OR
FRIDAY, APRIL 22 AT 5 P.M. UNTIL
SATURDAY, APRIL 23 AT 8:30 A.M.
The registration fee is $40, and it covers the
costs of a cool t-shirt, pizza for dinner, snack,
breakfast, overnight in the museums, and the
materials needed for many fun activities.
Fees and registration materials are due no
later than Friday, April 1. After we have
received 160 registrations for each event
registration will be closed.

Workshop Choices
•Rain Forest Ecologist – Come explore the
world of poisonous frogs in the Amazon! Also
learn about other animals that live in the rain
forest.
•Space Geologist – What happened to the
dinosaurs? This workshop will help us explore
what asteroids 65 million years ago had to do
with dinosaurs becoming extinct.

Even if paying and registering online,
participants will need to download the
complete registration packet (includes:
registration form, health form, behavior
guidelines, assumption of risk form, consent
and assent forms, packing list & map) and
return it the DeKalb County Office by Friday,
April 1st.
