Join us for a free three day Wyoming Summer Institute, funded by the
Wyoming Geographic Alliance and Library of Congress Teaching with Primary
Sources - Metro State:
"A Sense of Place"









From Yellowstone to Gillette, Cheyenne to Evanston, Wyoming is full of unique places.
We'll examine the "place" that is Wyoming from multiple perspectives.
Investigate unique geographical, historical, cultural and environmental aspects of WY.
Gain access to Wyoming Geographic Alliance resources and collaborative opportunities.
Explore the Library of Congress and local primary source repositories to evaluate maps,
census data, photos, oral histories, manuscripts, newspapers, motion pictures and more.
Content connections include social studies, language arts, reading, science and math.
Free teaching resources, literacy based strategies, primary sources and lessons to actively
engage students and align with standards all on a free WGA Jump Drive.
Limited to 24 Participants
Earn 2 WY PTSB credits and optional (fee-based) UW Outreach credit, pending approval.
Free On-campus Housing for participants traveling from other places in the state/region.
Receive information about housing when you indicate your need(s) during registration.
