INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATION
Follow completely all steps outlined before. Applications not following these instructions are deemed
technically ineligible and will not be evaluated or funded:
1. Submit this cover application form.
2. Attach documentation of invitations and details of hosting arrangements and agreements with
host institution(s) and/or colleagues abroad to demonstrate genuine advanced planning.
3. Complete and submit the attached checklists to ensure you will qualify for a grant and to guide
your proposal writing.
4. Submit a one- to two-page project synopsis, following the guidelines shown below for the project
objectives, project overview and description, internationalization benefits, follow-up plans.
5. Submit the budget form (last page of application).
6. Reviewers will rate applications based on meeting criteria outlined in the call for proposals; your
goals, objectives; and deliverables; your project overview; the necessity of in person travel for the
project; benefits to UW that are clearly articulated; and follow-up plans.
Submit your application as a single file in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format via e-mail to your department chair,
who will submit it with his/her rankings to your dean. Due date in chair/head/director’s office is Friday,
February 26, 2016. Due date in your Dean’s office from your department is Friday, March 4, 2016. Your
Dean’s office must review and rank all applications from your college. Deans will turn in their rankings and
colleges’ submissions to IPO by Friday, March 18, 2016. Notifications will be sent to all applications received
by IPO no later than April 15, 2016.
