Social Studies
Classroom Rules
-
Report to class on time (on time – working on the do now before the bell rings).
Everything else is late!
Report to class prepared (prepared – notebook, textbook, pen/pencil). Bring your
textbook every single day even on exam days!
Respect everyone in the class.
Food is not permitted in class unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Participation
-
To participate you must raise your hand. Everyone should participate. I don’t care if
you get the answer wrong, I don’t care if you get it right, the only thing I care about
is that you try!
Homework
-Homework will be given four nights during the week and sometimes on weekends. It
will be collected on Friday.
-Every homework missed will result in one point off your marking period average.
Grading
-There will be at least three exams a marking period. Theses exams will include multiple
choice, constructed response, and document based questions. Your grade will consist of
the scores from the exam minus any homework that is missing.
Miscellaneous
-Keep your hands off your face and your head off the desk.
-Three late’s equal a cut, for every cut a student has they will have to serve three after
school detentions.
-Have fun and work hard every day!
