Being unprepared, calling out, disrupting, and lateness can result in deductions from these points. HOMEWORK – Homework will be assigned 4 times per week and will include completing worksheets and castlelearning (online questions). Homework must be completed and brought to class the next day unless otherwise indicated. Partial credit will be given for incomplete work. If you are absent you are responsible for finding out from another student or from my website what homework has been assigned. The assignment must be completed within a reasonable amount of time. Speak with your teacher to discuss your missing work. If no written homework is assigned you are expected to review notes and other materials in preparation for tests and quizzes. ** Since everything we do in class counts toward your grade, it is very important that you do ALL your homework assignments. If a student or parent wishes to know if there is a homework assignment, or when an assignment is due, they can visit my website. See instructions below. www.sewanhaka.k12.ny.us Under “Our Schools” click “Elmont” click “Our Faculty” scroll down to my last name and click on “Unterricht, R” D. QUIZZES/TESTS “Do Nows” will be graded as openbook quizzes based on the previous day’s lesson. Therefore, it is extremely important that you bring your notes to class every day to receive the highest grade possible. There are no makeups on “Do Now” quizzes. If you are in class, you are expected to hand in a “Do Now” quiz. In addition, regular closed book quizzes are usually announced in advance, so students can budget their homework and study time.
