This course is offered by NHP
Memorial High School. It
fulfills the fine arts graduation
requirement. It is a prerequisite to all other art
electives.

3 LATES= 1 UNEXCUSED ABSENCE
24 ABSENCES WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF
CREDIT FOR THE COURSE

Cell Phones, iPods, MP3 or other
electronic devices are not permitted
to be used during the school day.
If found using your device, it will be
taken away from you and brought to
an Assistant Principal. Your parent
will be notified, and you may pick it
up at the end of the day.
2nd time: Same as above + Phone
must be picked up by parent, student
receives 3 detentions.
All times after: same as above + InSchool Suspension

If a problem behavior occurs:
 Expect a verbal warning
 Phone call home
 Detention may be issued
 Department chairperson
meeting
 Assistant Principal referral
Every opportunity will be given to
rectify the situation.
Class Rules and Procedures
 Be Prepared with notebook and
supplies!
 Don’t use any electronic devices in
class!
 You may use your phone for taking a
reference photo or searching for a
reference only with permission.
 Put all books/bags under the table.
Clear your visual space!
 No food/Drinks.
 Write down your aim/do now, begin!
 Be in a seat as soon as you come in
the room, help your table get
supplies from your art bins.
 Be attentive and respectful to your
peers and teacher during all lessons,
demo’s and critiques.
 Raise your hand to speak, and do not
talk while another person is talking.
 Be courteous and respectful towards
your teacher, classmates, artwork,
the art room and supplies in it
 Do not touch objects and supplies in
the art room with out permission.
Use materials appropriately!
 Use mature and appropriate
behavior in the art room.
 Help with clean up! No work allowed
during last 5 min of class.
 Stay seated unless told otherwise.
Walking around can be dangerous.
 Stay positive & try your best!
 Don’t EVER throw away an artwork
with out Ms. Livoti’s approval!!!!
