Although an office intern may not don a lab coat, TGen North understands that administrative functions are likewise critical in making science happen and in successfully carrying out TGen North’s important mission of advancing public health, clinical medicine, and biodefense through targeted microbial genomics. The right candidate will work closely with the Office Manager to ensure completion of clerical tasks. Such tasks include, but are not limited to: assisting with front office duties such as greeting visitors in a professional manner, answering light phones, accepting deliveries from UPS and FedEx, reserving the conference rooms and scheduling meetings for directors, data entry, inventory management, purchasing (i.e. placing orders for supplies and receiving supplies), assisting with community outreach/volunteer efforts, completing various organizational efforts and other office tasks as deemed necessary.
