QCA Scheme of Work (Units 1–18) and Logo! 1, 2& 3
The charts below show the contexts, grammar and skills suggested in the QCA Scheme
of Work for German and where their equivalent is introduced in Logo! Please note that
more detailed information about the QCA document can be found on the DFES standards
website: http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/schemes2/secondary_mfg/
For the first set of charts, the QCA Scheme of Work is taken as the starting point and then
mapped against the appropriate stage of Logo! e.g. if QCA suggests a particular item
could be covered in the second half of the spring term of Year 8 (Unit 10) a reference
from Logo! 2 will have been sought. Where this is not possible, references from other
stages of Logo! are also given.
Usually only one reference is given, at the place where the item is introduced. If the first
mention of an item gives only a partial introduction, however, and more essential
information is given later, further references are given.
