SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN HUMAN RESOURCES Nature of Work: Coconino County is seeking a Social Media Intern who will be working out of our Human Resources office. This position will work closely with the HR Analyst in the area of training, employee relations and organizational development to create and implement a social media marketing strategy targeting Coconino County employees as well as the public. The goal of this position will be to develop the social media tools to keep our employees connected and informed of the various training and development opportunities available County-wide. In addition, this position will work on a social media marketing strategy that will need to be a reflection of the Coconino County culture and the residents we serve. This position will work at the Coconino County Human Resources Building, located on 420 N. San Francisco. Some of the job duties this internship will include are: Drawing on theoretical marketing concepts for the creation of a social media marketing strategy with its applicable elements Strategizing, monitoring and optimizing social media campaigns Proposing improvements as required during strategy pilot roll out Exploring social media platforms to reach and engage a target audience 1 Creating written and visually innovative and appealing content appropriate for various social media platforms Analyzing, tracking and reporting on target audience engagement Desired Skills and Abilities: A positive and easy-going attitude, treating every day as an opportunity to learn and grow. Excellent communicator with outstanding writing skills. Research and synthesis and analysis skills. Very good understanding of the process related to building and maintaining an online community through websites, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other appropriate social media platforms. Ability to leverage proper platforms to accomplish mission of project MS Office proficient Minimum Qualifications: Coconino County internships are designed to help a college student obtain real world skills to complement their area of study. Ideally, the internship would provide individuals with work experience that will assist them in choosing a career path at a later stage upon graduation. Qualified Coconino County interns meet one of the following criteria: Presently enrolled in a degree program, either undergraduate or graduate. Have graduated from a degree program within the last 12 months. Are recent high school graduate, accepted and enrolled for the coming semester. This position is non-exempt from overtime.
