Distribution of Interns taking Education 214(Management in Practice) among the
various cooperating schools for the Orientation/ Observation and Practicum phases
during spring semester 2010
Requirements:
Students are expected to complete a minimum of 40 hours of field work during the
Spring Semester. The practicum requires students to spend time in a school setting and
prepare field reports with the focus on understanding the role of a school administrator
and the practical realities of school administration. Students observe and interview people
performing leadership and administrative functions around the school at all levels.

Counseling) among the various cooperating schools for the Orientation/ Observation and
Practicum phases during spring semester 2010
Requirements:
The field experiences in school counseling and guidance require student-counselors to
spend approximately 60 hrs per course (20 hrs Elem.; 20 hrs Mid.; and 20 hrs Sec.) in a
school focusing on practicum activities such as: planning for individual and group
counseling; classroom observations; crisis intervention; individual assessment; academic
planning, etc….
