ADVERTISEMENT Applications are invited for the position of JRF (@ Rs 16,000.00)/Research Associate (@ Rs 23,000 fixed) in a DST-funded research project “Molecular basis of sex determination in the lizard, Calotes versicolor: In search of the female pathway genes” and a JRF/SRF in a CSIR Project “Role of epigenetic modifications in gene interactions during sex determination”. Qualifications: Junior Research fellows: NET/GATE cleared with at least 55% marks in M.Sc. in life science subjects related to genetics, molecular genetics, biotechnology, life sciences, animal sciences. It is desirable that the candidate has good grasp of molecular genetics and practical training in molecular biology techniques. The maximum age limit is 28 years with 5 years’ relaxation for female/SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates. Senior Research Fellow: At least two years research experience in an area related to the topic of the project. It is desirable that the candidate has expertise in techniques required to study organization and epigenetic modifications in DNA and chromatin and protein interactions. The upper age limit is 30 years with Research Associate: The candidate should be a Ph.D. or should have 3 years of research experience in molecular genetics. The candidate should have expertise in techniques required to study organization and epigenetic modifications in chromatin and protein interactions. The upper age limit is 45 years with 5 year age relaxation for female/SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates. The post is temporary and coterminus with the project (September 2013 for DST and June 2014 for CSIR).
