Elementary or Secondary Emphasis
This program is designed for candidates desiring to major in teaching at the master’s level. Candidates may choose an
emphasis area in Elementary or Secondary.

The student must apply for and be admitted to a degree program
through the Office of Graduate Studies.
The student must apply for candidacy in conference with hi/her
advisor.
The student must petition the Graduate Office to graduate.
Option III the student must complete a comprehensive examination
during his/her last semester of enrollment. Option I the student
must complete a thesis/oral defense during his/her last semester of
enrollment.
