Student must have Internship Proposal approved prior to taking class. Description The Information Systems Internship provides students with the opportunity to gain realworld information systems experience in their field of study. Students are interviewed and selected by the individual companies offering the internship. See the Information Systems division chair for details. Objectives On completion of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Demonstrate competence in an advanced application of information systems skills to a real-world setting. 2. Communicate the results of the experience effectively in written and oral form. Purpose To broaden knowledge and understanding of concepts, processes, and practices relevant to the profession of information systems by applying them to a field setting.
