4-H Youth Development Program Funding Proposal Funds raised through the Office of Outreach Development are available to support program enhancement. (These available funds should not be confused with funds raised through the educational materials fees – the monies generated to support curriculum development and marketing). These funds are available for youth development programming supporting the eight essential elements of 4-H: - A positive relationship with a caring - Opportunity for self-determination adult - An inclusive environment - A safe environment—physically and (encouragement, affirming, emotionally belonging) - Opportunity for mastery - Opportunity to see oneself as an - Opportunity to value and practice active participant in the future service for others - Engagement in learning To apply for these funds, complete the following outline. Funding proposals are due on a rolling basis throughout the year. This rolling deadline allows Extension Educators and specialists to apply for funds when a specific need is identified. Situation: The situation should clearly describe the program audience and the needs of that audience being addressed through programming efforts. Program to Address Situation: Describe in detail the program that would occur to address the need(s) described in the situation. How essential elements of 4-H Youth Development will be incorporated into the program should be described. Not all eight elements need to be included. Funding should be used to support programming. You may request that all or a portion of the grant support salary and benefits. Funding requested to support salary and benefits must be matched. The source of matching funds should be described in the application. Anticipated Impacts: Describe expected impacts on the identified needs. Evaluation: How will the program be evaluated? Attach written evaluation if used. Include questions to be asked in focus groups or details for other types of evaluation. The impacts on the needs identified must be included in the evaluation. The essential elements focused on should also be a part of the evaluation. Budget: Provide a detailed budget. Maximum proposal support--$5,000.00. Final Report: Place impact and evaluation results into CASPAR. Recipients have one year to complete the program and enter reports into CASPAR. If the final report is not completed, the program will be audited.
