VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
New!
Mr. White would like to broadcast all winter and spring home games live on YouTube; however, he only
has one Broadcast class, and many of his students are involved in the sports that need to be
covered. You may earn service hours as a play-by-play / and or commentator for these events. The
equipment will be set up for you. All you have to do is show up, put the headphones on, and talk about
what is going on. Mr. White will have background research on players, lineups, etc. ready for you. Mr.
White would like to start with home basketball games. Any help you could give would be greatly
appreciated. See Mr. White in person or email him at keithwhite@anderson5.net for more details to
sign up for this unique volunteer opportunity.

Anderson County Arts Center—November 13th
My name is Jennifer Makison and I am involved with the Anderson County Arts Center’s annual art
auction this year. All proceeds will go to benefit the arts center and it is a great event. Suzette Hart (art
teacher at Calhoun) and I agreed to work with student volunteers and thought this would be a great
opportunity for your students. We are trying to recruit students to help with the event which will be on
Friday, November 13th this year. I have included a list of the times and dates we need the volunteers. All
students would report to Suzette, myself, and/or the art center staff. Please let me know if you can
assist me with this. I think it would be a great opportunity for your students to support the arts as well
as earn some volunteer hours. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Jennifer Makison
