Señora Rodriguez Class Procedures and Rules When you enter the classroom: Come in quietly and before the tardy bell rings. Find your assigned seat. Have your materials ready. You may not sharpen your pencil during instruction. Begin completing the warm-up activity (“Para Comenzar ). You are not to talk during “Para comenzar.” When you need to turn in work: Write your name, date and class period in the upper right hand corner of your paper. What if you are hungry or thirsty? There is no food, drink, or gum allowed in the classroom. You may have clear water in containers with lids. What about restroom breaks? Appropriate times to go to the restroom are before homeroom, after lunch, and after school. Or, go quickly go during class changes. Let me know if you have an emergency. How are you graded? What if you are absent? Get extra copies of handouts from me or print them online. You will have 5 school days to complete all make-up work. After 5 days, the incomplete work will be recorded as a “0”. What if you forget your homework? You will have a “working lunch” in the classroom. At the end of class: You are dismissed by the teacher, NOT the bell. Make sure your area is clean and return all materials to their proper place. What materials will you need? One notebook to be used all year only for Spanish class. Folder with pockets to keep Spanish assignments Color pencils/ Crayons Grading Scale: A: 93-100 B: 85-92 C: 77-84 D: 70-76 F: Below 70 What are the behavior expectations and consequences? During teacher instruction: Remain seated. Raise your hand to comment or ask a question. No talking unless you are called on. You may only talk to your own group members. Talking should be at low noise level (just above a whisper). 1st. Verbal warning 2nd. Lunch detention. 3rd. Contact parents. 4th. After school detent. 5th. You will have quizzes and tests to test your knowledge on classwork. You will have occasional homework assignments. You are expected to complete all homework assignments.
