Develop a Fact Sheet Center of Disease Control (CDC) Tamaklo- HS 2 Grades: 11-12 Subject: Health Science 2 Duration: 1- 90 minute block Objective: After visiting the CDC, the student will design a fact sheet intended to educate the public about the history of the CDC and the exhibits in the CDC Museum. Alternative Objective: *(Intended for the student(s) who did not attend the field experience). After exploring the CDC website, the student will design a fact sheet intended to educate the public about the history of the CDC and the exhibits in the CDC Museum. Description: Traditionally, fact sheets are no longer than one page, filled front and back. Fact sheets can have simple or elaborate formats, as long as they effectively convey their message. The rationale behind a one-page document is that many people will not take the time to read a multi page document. Also, it is much easier to distribute a single page fact sheet to the public than multi-page documents. Student should list historical facts about the CDC. When was it established? Why was it established? Who is the founder(s)? List and summarize exhibits in the CDC Museum.
