 I will be resigning as PD in December

 CRT Statistics:
 Class of 2013 – 24/24 = 100%
 Class of 2014 - 22/22 = 100%
 Class of 2015 – 19/19 = 100%
 CRT not enough any more!
Program Director’s Report
 RRT Statistics:
 Class of 2013 – 19/24 = 79.2%
 Class of 2014 – 20/22 = 90.1%
 Class of 2015 – 15/19 so far = 78.9%
 Class of 2015 – All 19 have passed the TMC at
the high “cut score”, have not passed the
Sims, national pass rate at 54.8%(!)
 I met with them this week for coaching
Curriculum update
 Thanks to subcommittee members who
came to review all the courses
 My Plan – Do necessary clean-up before
retiring. Make recommendations to new
team for longer term plans
Admissions
 60 qualified applicants
 Accepted 28 with 7 alternates
 Always assessing prerequisites
 Plan to work with the other NorCal RT
Programs to validate prerequisites,
including a pre-admission test such as
TEAS-A (hope to pilot it this year)
Distance Education update
 Videoconferencing system failure
 Held an Informational meeting at SRJC
 8 of the accepted people live in Sonoma
County
BSRT
 Skyline and Modesto will offer BSRTs
 Skyline plans to start first Cohort Fall 2016
 Hope for a mix of new grads and
experienced RCPs
 Hybrid model with full online offered in
future
 Applications being accepted now
 I’ll be teaching the Education course

Spring Clinical Statistics for 2016
22 Second Year Students did the following:
1. 4059.5 Clinical Hours
2. 864 Neo/Peds Specialty Hours
3. 352 PFT Specialty Hours
4. 176 Sleep Specialty Hours
5. 573 Clinical Competency Check-offs
6. 132 Clinical Simulation Hours
7. 88 Clinical Case Manager Specialty Rotation Hours
First Year Spring Clinical Report
 20 First Year Students out
 They finished their First Clinical Rotation
 Typhon Group Clinical Tracking Program is
going well (See attachments)
 Starting Specialty Rotations early was a
success
 Case Manager Specialty Rotations was very
educational
Summer Clinical Rotation 2016
 Summer Clinical Rotation Schedule is finished
 24 Students going out to 16 different Hospital's
 Continue the PFT, Sleep, and Case Manager Specialty
Rotations
 14 students going out on Mon. Tues. Wed.- Am Shift and
3 Going out PM Shift
 3 Students going out on Mon. Tues. Wed. Am Shift
 3 Part-Time Students going out 1 day a week
New Class of 2018 Coming in

 Considering sending first semester
students out for an observation day in

Clinical Challenges
 New Hospital requirements (Vision Screening)
 When JACHO comes students are asked to
not go to clinical
 Repetitive Health stream modules
 EHR Training different for each Hospitals
 Clinical Director is only instructor that can go
to 3 of the current Hospitals is that a future
concern?
