Why do we need CREATIVITY ?
Reproductive learning answered the survival
needs of individuals and societies in the past. It
continues to be necessary today, but it is no
longer enough. What is needed for survival is
innovative learning…….
If one of the challenges of education is to
prepare children for a fast changing world, then
teaching children to think creatively becomes a
clear need.
(Robert Fisher 1990 P.30)
Creativity
Creativity is a complex and multifaceted
construct. Within the individual, creative
behaviour is the result of a complex of
cognitive skills/abilities, personality
factors, motivation, strategies and
metacognitive skills.

Jokes (1) Who is stupid ?
"If there are any idiots in the room, will they please
stand up?" said the sarcastic teacher.
After a long silence, one student rose to his feet.
"Now then mister, why do you consider yourself an
idiot?" enquired the teacher .
"Well, actually I don't," said the student, "but I
hate to see you standing up there all by
yourself."
Jokes (2) Wedding
Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl
whispered to her mother, "Why is the bride
dressed in white?"
"Because white is the color of happiness and
today is the happiest day of her life." Her mother
tried to explain, keeping it simple.
The child thought about this for a moment, then
said, "So, why is the groom wearing black?"
