• Students are able to develop content ideas into fully
elaborated paragraphs using appropriate linguistic
devices
• Students can differentiate between formal and
informal language
• Students are able to apply that knowledge to produce
a text of the appropriate genre
(e.g. a two-sided argumentative essay)
