EV674 New: 2009 Catalog Description and Credit Hours: Consideration in depth of subject matter ordinarily unavailable in the program curriculum through directed readings and discussion with an instructor. (1-2) II. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the graduate program in Environmental Science, consent of the instructor and permission of the program director. III. Purposes or Objectives of the Course: A. To allow a graduate student to deal with specialized subject matter pertinent to his/her individual educational goals when the need for such a topic is not great enough to support a normal course. IV. Expectations of Students: To read the assigned material and to participate in discussion of it. V. Course Content or Outline: To be established by instructor but will consist of both historical and current literature in the field. Credit hours for the readings course will be determined on the basis of a minimum of 40 hours of readings work per academic credit hour. VI. Textbook and/or Supplemental Materials: Dictated by course topic. VII. Basis of Student Evaluation: To be determined by instructor. VIII.
