This includes the issue of here being different bulbs for different projectors. Scholastic Reading Counts! and SRI needs to be upgraded from v.3.0.6 to the Enterprise Edition for improved stability and functionality. Finally, an increasing number of the older Dells (GX50s, GX150s) are starting to become obsolete as components break down and replacement parts are hard to find. With the inevitable implementation of Windows Vista on the horizon, we need funds for some newer computers next year as Windows 2000 becomes phased out. Teachers need to be trained regarding the technology assessment required of all eighth graders. Future Vision and Direction Within three years, all teachers should have a minimum of one technology-based lesson per six weeks. This should go beyond the usual word processing and presentation applications to include databases and spreadsheets. Every classroom should have a secured projector/computer setup. A technology component should be included in the lesson plan templates. Teacher evaluation should reflect use of technology other than the electronic gradebook and attendance software.
