Many of the computers on campus that are still being used are labeled end-of –line. We also have need of another computer lab. One for our campus is not enough as there were many days that the lab could have been double booked. Integration of Technology TEKS in the IPGs. 2. Use of district wide resources for technology. Training in use of peripherals that would enhance technology integration. Future Vision and Direction Currently our use of technology is directly related to its usefulness in increasing TAKS and district benchmark scores. We have found the technology to be very helpful to these goals; however, these packaged programs do little to promote self-directed technology use for teachers or students. In the future, as a school with less urgency to TAKS burdens, we should be a campus where teachers are able to stretch their technology experiences and integrate technology into daily lessons. Teachers would also possess the freedom to utilize all of the district’s resources to present students with a well rounded, seamless technology experiences. Students would benefit as well increasing their knowledge in file management, spreadsheet and database use, as well as using authoring programs.
